What is the maximum length that will fit on the rails ?
    2024 SE5 Premium.
I am split between Thule and Yakima.
It needs to hold 2 sets of golf clubs, cart style bags.

    TIA!

I don't have a carrier yet so take the following with a grain of salt, but I measured the rear hatch clearance on my 2019 SR5 and get something like 55" to the front of the rail, so probably lose 2", so say 53"

    Thule
    • Motion XT
      • L
        • Rear hatch clearance: 47.5"
      • XL
        • Rear hatch clearance 51.25"
      • XXL
        • Rear hatch clearance 55"
I've also heard that the factory rails might be too low and not stiff enough -- box may hit roof. https://www.4runners.com/threads/hey-from-another-happy-new-4runner-owner.4137/#post-150617

Thanks for the reply! I never had that issue with my previous 4Runner using a Skybox 16. Perhaps I'll just get another.
Wish I had kept the other one, I paid $400 for it in 2011. Now they are $800+

Did you use Toyota cross bars with this box?
