Leveling Front

    20180731_130613.jpg Picked up a 2018 TRD Off Road Premium with Pro package looking to level the front, but I want to keep the Pro suspension, recommendations anyone?

    Wait, its an Offroad with the Pro Package? I'm not really sure what that means. It's either one or the other. Is it an Offroad with Pro suspension?

    Looks like they have a "Pro" package now... this is the third time I've heard of someone buying an ORP with the "Pro" package... I know it is so much more convenient to have them do it before you take it home... but I'm bettin they charge a pretty penny for it.

    ... anyway.. I digress.... that Off Road looks pretty dang good with the Pro package.

    I think that the "Pro" package may be a dealer specific option. Certian dealers will add PRO wheels, suspension, badging, etc for an extra fee. Just saw a dealership in Colorado offering a Pro Package for 9,500

    Dang I've never heard of that package option. I wonder how Toyota Corporate feels about that package haha.

    Toytec makes a 2" space lift for the TRD Pro coilovers. It comes with the lift for front and rear however. Not sure if you just installed the front spacers if it would level out or have a bro lean.

    Was looking at my front suspension and it appears that the dealership added the lower spacer to the strut already, heading back to Right Toyota Thursday now that the suspension has settled and my 285's are rubbing the front bumper while backing.

    Everybody is saying there might still be rubbing issue w/ 285 even w/ 3+ lift. I guess to avoid BMC, mudflap removal, or fender liner trimming is to get 275. Bigger tires will cause worse mileage and harsh on your drivetrain and also speedometer adjustment needed to avoid speeding tickets.

    Yeah but them there big tires is fun! LOL

    I have 35's on my truck and it adds about 3-4 mph...if you know how much it adds it is a matter of dropping your speed by that amount, no need to adjust the speedometer ;)
    I C O M P L E T E L Y agree however with the gas mileage....it is HORRIBLE....but cutting through stuff like snow and mud makes it ALL worth it!!! not to mention the wide eyed looks from people when I drive by. :)

    I don't mind mudflap removal or fender liner trimmibg but certainly don't want a BMC. From what people been saying is that a 285 they still had rubbing issues EVEN w/ a 3" lift, and I have a 3" lift and don't wish to do a BMC that's why I'm sticking w/ 275 to avoid it.

    Is there some happy median between cheap ass spacers and the $750 that 4WP wants for a Bilstein lift which sounded like adjustable shocks and a front end alignment?

    Get the 2" Toyotec lift like what everyone is doing nowadays for their TRD PRO. The TRD PRO is already lifted 1" at the front and 2" front spacer lift will give u 3" lift total up front. And the rear is 2" w/ new springs

    Anybody have any preference over the Burtman lift or the Toytec lift? Burtman offers a 1.5/1 lift for the TRD Pro ($250), while toytec does a 2/2 ($445)?

    I'm more inclined to go with the 1.5/1 for the look and practical use. It's one of our two primary cars and it gets a bit of usage. Everything else on my PRO is stock as it sits. Just moreso looking for absolutes here, if it's all the same, I'll probably go with the 1.5/1.

    Also, requested a few quotes from local shops in the Orange County area, they quoted me at about $950 for the install + alignment

    Quick question. What is the actual/technical difference between TRD PRO and TRD Offroad? I wonder why Toyota have to make sooo many different trims of 4runners.
    SR5, SR5 Premium, Limited, Trail Edition, TRD PRO, and now the newly released TRD Offroad. It just make things more confusion in my opinion.

    Ended up going with the 1.5/1 from Burtman Industries. Got a really good deal in my opinion. I'll have the parts by early next week but can't install them until the following weekend. Using my friends garage to do the work for the price of a breakfast burrito. Good friend. I'll have it all done before Christmas so merry Christmas to me. My wife complains that I'm hard to buy things for because I always buy the things I want before Christmas... she's not wrong.

    Anyways, I'm stoked on the 1.5/1 lift for the Pro. Before and after pics I'll post here before Christmas.

    Just wondering about the two photos, AZ4RNR, they look like two different vehicles. Or maybe the same vehicle with different lifts. The first photo looks pretty level. In fact, I’d say perfect. The later one shows the rear end too high, IMHO. What did you end up using?

    I switched out the Pro suspension for a set of 6112 and kept the 5160 rear reservoir shocks and added Bilstein 2" rear springs.

    The dealership had installed the Toytec spacer on the pro suspension and the ride was very stiff, the ride quality of the 6112s is much better and I don't have any front end dive while braking.
