I always liked my 2015 SR5, but I never fully appreciated it. In fact, I had considered trading it in on a Bronco (don't hate me). On 2/13 it saved my life. I was traveling home from work at 10:30pm, traveling southbound on a divided highway. A reckless driver in a Chrysler 300 left a northbound on ramp, crossed the northbound lanes, the median, and passed in front of me head on. After the 300 bounced off the southbound guardrail (facing NB), it caught me under the right rear wheel, sending the 4R airborne, rolling several times, and ending up on the roof, sliding from highway speed to a stop on the roof. It was totaled, but I wasn't. I miraculously walked away with a concussion and a neck and back injury.

That convinced me to get another one, this time a 2024 ORP in Midnight.

wow. Crazy story and no better reason to get another. Hope neck and back are better. What happened to the 300 guy?

Did you change tires or is that oem on 24s? They look like the same that you had on the one that went belly up.

    Welcome!
Glad your injuries were not worse - although back, neck and concussion are serious. Hope you are on the way to a recovery, and soon.

I, too, would like to know what happened to the 300 driver. I'm guessing DUI / DWI?

I had just put a set of 265/70-17s KO2s on the 2015 and really liked them, so I got a new set and put them on a set of TRD Pro rims. Dealer wanted $1790 for the rim upgrade with stock tires as a port installed option (PIO). I bought the rims from my local dealer for $250 each, K02s for $272 each, and I still have the OEM ORP Wheels and Tires. I'm going to be selling them on here as soon as my new member hold clears. I pulled them off the day I drove it off the lot.

I'll offer no commentary on the 300 driver in this forum.

My God, those photos give me the chills looking at them. Glad to hear you were able to walk away from that with non-life threatening injuries. These 4Runners are built like tanks. Welcome to the forum Matt, your new 2024 looks awesome!

Welcome, and glad you're ok. God was with you. Can't help but notice that the sunroof glass isn't cracked. Those luggage racks must be tough.

Wise of you to not comment on the 300 driver.
