Toyota is not allowed to do this. Dealers can only add an allocation fee to a vehicle physically on the lot, not one on order.

Is this really a thread about people with late model 4Runners trading them on... later model 4Runners?

Y'all must want the salespeople to pay off their second home faster, huh?

Seriously, try and let inflation take a break already, jeeze.

Wow, that’s an outstanding looking wheeler you have there, I’d be so proud to own something like that! Good call!

They must really like 5th gen 4runners. And since 2024 seems to be the last year of the 5th gen. I guess I can see why this is a thread. If I could id do the same thing but I'm broke. Lol

    It’s a mass produced model… with a weird warmish color. Terra 24 won’t net a premium over ‘23

the other bet is the 6th gen will be very unappealing, and make the 5g’s depreciation more mundane than usual.

your rationale was to get the better resell value via the ‘24… all of the above needs to be true for it to work out in your favor

Trading in a ‘23 for a ‘24 is a dumb financial decision no matter what. There’s no way around it, other than trying to convince one’s self. Buy a ‘24 if you just want that new feeling all over again, but it’s a huge financial loss.

I agree, Don’t quote me on this but if you look at the FJ Cruiser I think ‘14 was the final year but for some reason the ‘13 is the more sought after year. With that in mind, I’m taking my ‘23 Solar Octane to the grave. I love the color plus it came with the new style free form wheels before they switched back to the old style. I’d still be a lil pissed if I bough a ‘23-‘24 and got the old style wheels. Just my 2 cents….lol

Anyone can buy the “new style” ones for $900 still they’re nothing special

Always wondered if the Solar Octane will fade to pink when that famous Toyota clear coat wears off. :D

Yep. As someone who worked in a body shop many years growing up, I saw many faded red paint jobs that looked soft pink. :D

You guys made me laugh so hard when I read all these pink comments this AM. It may fade to tangerine but I’ll most likely be dead and gone before this happens. As far as the new style wheels I didn’t know they were readily available. That’s good to know. I figured if I damaged one I was gonna have to buy a new set if the old style.

You might be able to answer this question for me because I have gotten different answers regarding the wheels. Are the old style wheels “flow formed”?
