This is for the people that actually have Mirimoto headlights,
Does your Mirimoto in auto mode daytime function have any headlights on?
what fuse are you tapped into?

My rig with the Morimoto gen2 with Amber DRLs during the day. No lights on other than the amber DRLs while on auto. Not sure what’s going on with yours.IMG_0405.png

Thank you, this means I shouldn't have any light on. Where do you have your fuse tapped at?

I believe in the INJ fuse but I’d have to double check to make sure.

That’s a driver issue. Not you as the driver but the LED driver. The outer and middle projectors have pigtails that connect them to the driver (big metal box attached to the headlight assembly on the exterior in the engine bay) to come on together. Likely could replace that and fix the issue but I don’t know if Morimoto would do that. They aren’t even made by Morimoto but they may have spare parts. Takes a few screws on each headlight to remove. Could try swapping drivers from one side to the other and see if the problem stays or transfers

CoPlus based in Taiwan. Can’t find the 4R ones on their website but you can find other models. I believe Morimoto has/had some exclusivity deal with them for US distribution. IMG_1242.jpg

I would sell your defective Morimotos with full disclosure of the problem on the for sale ad and just buy a new set. But that’s just me. I’d be willing to take a loss to buy a new set.

it doesn't bother me too much I only drive on the weekends and just turn the lights on manually so all my lights are on in the daytime, its more of an annoyance but I have been kicking down the idea of selling and getting the amber or the alpharex with the new fanglights that just came out
