Has anyone had their air recycling button get stuck? Mine is pushed in and it won’t budge. It’s basically shut off and when it’s raining I fog up constantly.

Hello Allyson, welcome to the forum!
    What year is your 4Runner?
If your temperature control knob is set at MAX A/C, you won't be able to get fresh air from outside.

It’s a 2020. It’s not the temperature knob that’s the problem. I’ve had this 4Runner for some time now. The button itself seems stuck. It won’t depress. It almost seems like it’s jammed in. Yet, I don’t recall hitting it or anything. I started thinking my daughter jammed it or hit it and isn’t owning up to it LOL. She borrows my car sometimes since it’s in the garage and hers is outside in the cold.

Interesting. You are right, it is possible that the switch could be jammed. Since it won't depress, I agree with you. It should be replaceable, Just needs some disassembly. If you are handy with that sort of thing, you could do it. There are plenty of you tube videos that show how the center console comes apart.

Yeah I was just telling my brother how I fix everything by looking it up on YouTube. However I’ve searched the web and wasn’t able to find anything yet. I’ll keep searching. I was hoping maybe someone here might have had the same problem. Thank you

spilled softdrink or something? spray some rubbing alcohol in the crevasses of the button, let sit for 20 sec, then push button reapply

I’d give it a good couple of knocks with your finger to see if it comes loose.

I agree with post 6. Sounds like a soda spill. Soda is the quickest way to ruin an interior, especially instrument controls.

    TBD. White Knuckle Off-road sliders.
Try CRC QD Electronic Cleaner. It’s non-conductive. Might help break down any foreign contaminants.

We’re not soda drinkers but maybe a coffee with sweet cream that could’ve splashed up. I’ll give the alcohol a try! I’ve thumped on the button a few times as well
