    2019 Limited.
    Battery is 2 years old.
Key FOB OEM, no idea of age. Never had an issue.
I used the OEM, gray one.
When I went into the house to grab the black one that came with the car also, to see if it would shut the alarm off, it was flashing red.
    Did not change anything.
But as soon as I touched the starter button, alarm went off.
Then I walked away and it did it again.
Common issues that can cause this.
Only mod to vehicle was LED lights inside interior months ago.
Left side is OEM FOB in both pics

I'm not sure I tracked your initial description entirely. Did you replace the fob battery? Weak fob battery would be my first guess.

May or may not be helpful but I dealt with a CR-V where the alarm would go off randomly when the driver walked away. (it had push-start and would auto-lock when the fob reaches a certain distance)

Turns out that a lock on one of the doors was stuck so flipping it back and forth freed it. No alarms since.

If not that, I'd start with seeing if there are any unexpected door/hood/trunk ajar warning messages/lights. (maybe a door switch/sensor acting up?)

Thnx. I have not changed the FOB battery. I will do that ASAP..
I will also check the doors, locks and anything that may be obstructing the locks.

I just had this last year with my 2018. It was the hood latch switch on the back of the hood latch. I just cut the wires and spliced them together to bypass it. Never the random alarm since.

Not always the same thing for everyone, but just my experience with that symptom.

Where is this infamous hood latch switch?

I had my alarm go off in the middle of the night, after I had accidentally dumped an ice chest of water inside the rear compartment earlier that day, near the tailgate. When I checked, all my doors were still locked, alarm going off. I have a blanket down at the tailgate, that was soaking wet and possible wedged into the tailgate when it was closed.

That's the only time I've had this issue.

Attached to the back of the hood latch. It's on the side you can't get to against the radiator, of course. It's not hard to take off the hood latch just 3 bolts. Just mark the position with a marker to make sure you don't have to align anything.

Thank you, is it just for the alarm system.

Had a Honda Civic that did the same/ similar thing. Turned out it was the dealer-installed alarm system.

It was a black box zip tied to the steering column. My theory was that it had a motion sensor in it that was going bad. I removed it. Big bundle of wires came out. I had to look up how to reconnect the starter relay wire so the car would start again.

Yup just for alarm. The circuit is closed when the hood is closed. Open when the hood is open. So stripping those wires and connecting them is just telling the ecu the hood is always closed.
Ooor just replace the switch. Lol. Either way.

I looked and didn’t see any wires to hatch assembly. Also, popped the hood while driving slow and nothing happened?
