    Hi all
    Jennakins here.
I bought a 2021 TRD Pro last month and the overhead console started to drop down on the rear facing side. It looks like there is two pins that hold it up. I tried pushing it up and it wont stay up.
Any idea on to correct this. The Serious radio antenna is not working either now and I am wondering if it is related. I am thinking this buy was a mistake all of a sudden. I like the truck but with 39000 miles it is a bit scary what else is around the issues area

From a thread about replacing interior bulbs with LEDs:

I started on the windshield side of the crawl control box, there are two openings to pry down on, it really did not take much force so don't over to it
    [IMG]
then the crawl control box will come down, disconnect it and set it aside for the moment
    [IMG]
there are two (I think 8mm bolts) to undo in the opening where the crawl control box was
    [IMG]
now pull down, there are two connectors that it will pop loose from, just don't go too crazy, this is attached by a cable you don't want to break
you now have a panel that is loose and you can finally get to the lights and in my case a wife that came in and gently reminded me we have only made one payment so far and to knock my shit off
    [IMG]
on the back side there are two black connectors, turn them about a half turn and they along with the installed light will come out
    [IMG]
insert the LED's and for gods sake check to make sure they work so you don't have to do this again, if they do then reinstall the upper console the reverse of they way it came out

    Good luck.

The 4th picture down is the backside showing those white pins. Are they replaceable. That is where mine is hanging down from. Do not see them in a parts breakdown from Toyota

Do you have the 2 8mm bolts? It seems those would do more to secure that panel than the 2 white clips, which seem to be more for alignment than mounting...IMO, not having had that panel off personally.

No way to get to them from the outside. Really poor design. They have a lip on them that pushes through. I would love to use screws or bolts. I will call dealer and see what they can come up with. Its a heavy piece with all the components in it.. Makes you scratch your head why o why pin clips. There is a circuit board behind the pins

Please take photos and post them so we can help resolve the problem.
I think @glwood54 is onto something!

    Do the pins looked damaged?
Look at the hole where they snap in, does it look damaged or worn?
Did you push the pins in by themselves and see if they fit snuggly?

Come back with some answers and we will try to figure it out.

The pictures are not of my TRD The holes about are fine on mine. The pins are worn out. Someone must have pulled it down before I bought it. When I push the console up on the headliner you hear it snap in but as soon as you touch it, it falls down

Suggestion since the pins are worn, if you have some heat shrink tubing that would fit over the end of the pin, you could see if that would fix your issue by heating the tubing over the end then trim off excess.
I would try that if you can’t source the pins.

Can you see any part numbers on any piece, especially the pin or control box?

    It's a long list...
As outlined in the other thread here, : https://www.4runners.com/threads/retainer-clip-for-overhead-console.15037/#post-563861, the correct part number is 63395-12150. The clip assembly comes with both male and female clip portions.

In regards to your Sirius antenna radio, you likely have a loose connection on the back of the head unit. The radio receiver is located in the Sharkfin assembly, and is in a different location. There are two connections between the receiver and head unit. One back in the passenger D-pillar, and the other in the passenger A pillar. Both are likely intact, so check the head unit first.

    Thanks @Old Red
That will be one of the least expensive fixes I’ve seen lately!

I will pull the radio out and check the connection. It came on and off a couple times so you are probably right

Yep, that sounds like a bad connection.

To pull the radio, remove the trim on either side of the HVAC panel by pulling them out straight towards you. They are held in by nylon clips and are reusable. Next remove the HVAC panel itself, by grabbing both ends where the dials are and pulling one side out, then the other. Again it is held in by the same clips. You want to do this gently as there is a single harness connector and clip on the back that will need to be undone. Once the panel is out, you just have 4x 10mm bolts for the radio brackets. Once those are out, pull from the bottom edge of the radio, and pop the clips, and it should slip right out. The HD radio connector will be a larger wire going into a single black plastic connector on the back of the head unit (should be located on the driver side of the back of the radio).

@Old Red to the rescue once again. Another view:

What I didn't realize is those two clips are on the opposite side of that panel from the end with the two bolts...

Done thge clips worked great! Not the best design. The screws should have been all around.
Now its warm day so time to take out the head unit and check the Serious antenna.
I love this truck. Thank you all for the support. To admit I was nervouse about what else is going to go wrong next.
The remote start takes some getting use to. The F150 was way simpler.
