I’ve noticed a whining noise with acceleration, even when my kids aren’t in the rig, any ideas? (is a vacuum leak a possibility?)
2011 SR5, about 133,000 miles. There is also a sort of pulsating rhythm when idling in drive. Any guidance is appreciated!

The whine is normal. It almost feels as if there is a turbo in there. It is a 20 year old engine after all.
Clean your MAF sensor if you ve never done it. A dirty sensor messes with idling.

Record a video of the idling sound, near the engine, hood open and post it. If you can mount your phone in the engine compartment safely, record a video of the sound while driving.

Send pics from under the hood.
Hoping to see a MAGNUSON instead of an engine cover.

Make sure your power steering fluid is at the proper level.
