Hello! So, I have a 2006 v8 4Runner, the battery light came on one day & I changed the battery, then after 2 days it came on again so I changed the alternator, then after almost a week, the battery light came on again, so I changed the drive belt (nothing happened) & my dad changed the alternator again. It was fine until the I was driving the car & noticed that the light comes on when stopped. When I would give it gas it would turn off, but when I was rushing to get home so it didn’t stop in the middle of the road, I kept having to give it more speed, by the time I came home it’s just on now. What could be happening?

Maybe one of your battery ground cables isn’t secured properly, or has finally corroded past the point of being able to work. In the Tacoma forums there’s a mod called ‘the big three’ where you upgrade all your big battery cables, not sure if that’s a thing for 4Runners too.
