What is the "Off Road Package" on a TRD OR 2024 4Runner?

I'm trying to figure out what the "Off Road Package" adds to a TRD Off Road. I see the "pro" wheels (seems like almost all 4Runners are coming with those now!), etc., but will the suspension be different? Tires?

The "Off Road Package" appears on the dealership's info sheet, but not as a line item on the window sticker (although the components may be there, such as the wheels, floor mats, etc.).

    Thanks,

    John

Manual case (only half manual anyway), mall control and mall terrain select (crawl control and terrain select), rear locker and some other aesthetic changes. Don't forget the premium packages. Everything would be listed on the site and not much has changed over the years.

    OK, thanks.

So is "Off Road Package" completely redundant with OR Trim? I thought maybe there was a difference, like the difference between OR Premium and OR.

    Thanks.

Oh a separate offroad package to the TRD OR? It might be a dealer thing or a regional thing. Some dealers did a TSS package on the Tacoma back in the day that was not available for California.

This has got to be a dealer specific thing if they include pro wheels. And I can almost guarantee they are upselling it.

It's not redundant with OR trim. I picked it all apart when I bought last year to compare with itemized prices on the Toyota configuration tool to make sure I wasn't double paying for anything. Unfortunately, I don't have the itemization handy.

OK, sounds like I will have to ask the dealer specifically what that gives me.

    Thanks!

If you can upload the build sheet, it would be helpful. The dealer can email this to you. Just block out the vin and dealer name, if needed.

I don't know, it doesn't really seem like anything extra, I don't see any extra charge on the sticker. They could just generically be talking about it being a TRDOR.

What I did notice is that they're charging 1700 for knockoff Pro wheels, that's pretty crazy.

Agreed! I read somewhere else (so it must be true) that they were having a hard time getting the regular OR wheels made, and so they swapped these and added $1700. Brilliant job by the accounting team! (Every crisis is an opportunity!)

I think that every one of the 16 ORs (some normal, some Premium) have the pro wheels at this dealership.

You’re correct. It’s not a dealer thing. It’s just the TRD Off Road trim designation (vs SR5, for example). Manual T-case, crawl control, etc.

$195 for black overlays! I've seen even higher prices for an item that can be bought on eBay for around $60 (OEM part number)
