Ok just trying to get this right... you can buy 1000's of 4R aftermarket accessories from replica buttons, knobs, wheels, tail lights, roof baskets, etc etc... but nobody has bothered to create an aftermarket sliding cargo tray for sale out there?! Like the ONE thing that IS needed aftermarket? lol.

Unless I am missing something - is Toyota the only place you can get the sliding tray??

They come up for sale here once in a while. I haven't seen any low-cost aftermarket options.

Same here, have not seen one yet. One would think, Like yous stated, Some manufacturer would jump at the idea and possibly make it modular to add other accessories that could be sold alongside them.

Sometimes on Buy /Sell Trade some members post about swapping out with another owner and they go quick

Lots of creative options out there. Most are for slide out fridges. Others are custom slide out tables or drawers.

I was close to getting this since i like the idea of 2 separate slide outs: https://www.victory4x4.com/product/OGFL-4R5.html

The slide out tray is not that popular though.

I was looking at the slide out tray as well as I think it would be useful for both a seat and to pull out to help with unloading.

After owning two without this feature, It is indeed something i would love to have going forward to help/ease loading unloading, especially with these heavier coolers out these days.

Don't blame me, I voted for Trump.
Mine came with one, truthfully, I don't use it that much, if at all. I would not have added it if it didn't have one. No, I'm not selling it as I have built a smooth floor with it.

I'm undecided about the tray. Right now I've left it off of the build list because I've never needed a sliding tray for any other SUV I've owned plus you lose some height. However, what gives you a flatter floor in the event you want to sleep in the back of the 4R? Tray or no tray?

I don't use the sliding tray as much as I anticipated because of the tendency for things to fall behind it into the gap when the tray is extended. I do like that it creates a totally flat cargo area with the back seats down. To me that's worth more than a couple inches of cargo height loss.

Aw man, this thread makes me sad, because it looks like there is no hope to get a tray haha. I came into ownership of my 4R which at one point had the full oem sliding tray setup, but the PO removed just the tray for some reason.

I’m stuck somewhere in the middle. I feel it’s a waste to toss the slide components and its’s carpet, but also impossible to find only the tray. Not the best combo for a trade either. Dealer price is CRAZY for that thing, but seems like the only option.

Wondering if building a platform on top of the slide armature would be a solution. Ultimately I’m trying to get that flat cargo area for camping while using what I already have back there, the bolted in frame, plus sound deadening carpet, etc…

Building a platform that turns into slide out tables is so much more useful.

Nice setup! Are the tables homemade or purchased?

Homemade, had some extra plywood and 2x2's. It's perfect for my trips camping.

that's what i want to do to mine, a 2016, that has the 3ed row. i want to swap to regular 2 row with flat floor. that 3ed row platform takes up 4 inches of head space.

well if you ever decide to, I have an extra slide frame that I’ll be putting up for sale on here soon. Ton of other parts would be needed, but it’s a good start!
