    To all,
Quick question, I ordered the foxwell scanner NT 614 Elite , once I plugged it in it gave me two transmission temps. 1and 2. Which one should I focus on??? To set the oil level on my 2022 Toyota 4Runner
    TIA

I would use the "pan" temperature, you will have the torque converter temperature and the pan, the pan would be the lower of the two.

The ones that changes more frequently is the converter. The pan temp is more accurate.

OP: To set the oil level on my 2022 Toyota 4Runner - ? ? ? do you want to check if it is properly filled at the factory? it was done before and confirmed that it filled at lowest level. It's OK and no reason play with it until 60K/5Y, you will not do anything better, loosing some fluid to inspection, or overfilling by add WS. Installation of trans cooler will reduce temp 10-20 degrees, and it cools faster. Monitoring converter temperature helps to choose proper gear and throttle.

Between 175 degrees and 220 degrees is the operating range, but around 190 is the normal temperature for optimal performance, once you go over 200+ you are getting hot, over 220 you need to stop and let it cool down, any hotter and you risk damage, at the very least the ATF will need to be replaced, 240 and up you have done some damage.

36 degrees outside temp, so the transmission temps will be lowerz. I bet in summer it will run closer to 180-190 in the pan.
