Drove the SR5 to the gun range.....drove 'er home and decided to change the oil and filter. Installed my Fumoto drain valve......greased the driveshafts.....then decided to swap out the front diff fill and drain plugs for the Lexus ones that have the 14mm bolt head on 'em.

    Nice!

Where do you have the jack routed to?

What are the keys for? I keep my spare set of camper keys in my glove box lol

Blacked out the chrome, swapped the stock floor liners for a set of Lasfit, and installed the S&B intake.

For what it is worth, I have the Rago Molle panels and shelf. It does obstruct view. The amount of view obstructed depends on location of shelf and items on shelf.

I guess ideally you load stuff on the shelf for longer trips that are predominantly highway or not overly crowded mountain roads?

I set mine about eight inches from the rear hatch moulding. Gives me enough room for items I keep in the cab 100% of the time. I lowered the rear seat head rests. The obstruction is not terrible. You get used to it.

Installed a pair of Meso Customs' Puddle Pods. They came without any instructions and the only thing I could find on the Meso website was a 30 page *.pdf for doing an incredibly complex install on a Tacoma. Found a much better video on Youtube (Thanks to member Durango Dave) and got them installed without too much trouble. 35 minutes for the first one, 20 minutes for the second. Very nice improvement for the puddle lights!

    Drain plug...Lexus#90341-24016 and Filler plug....Lexus#90341-18060

Got them from an Ebay seller in Japan.....$10 for both with combined s/h. Had to message him but he shipped 'em both for one price. They came in Lexus packaging. Took about 2 1/2 weeks to get here but was much cheaper than any place I found on the web.

Replaced my VLEDS passenger footwell light. They replaced it under warranty. While at it, cleaned up some of the wires from when I originally put them in.

Other than that, drove in to Chili's to eat with fam.

    Mostly uneventful day.

Yea, stock size. Haven't had much rain since I got them installed. I'll let ya know when we do. So far ride quality is excellent and they are balanced better than my factory ones were.

TRD CAI, I love it. The difference is not subtle. I did it without wire splitting, I used an extension for the MAF. I’m gonna improve the zip-tie in a couple days.

Managed to cram a sixth light up there with new hardware. Chinese stainless--usually isn't, so there's a side benefit there.

    PXL_20240316_164509575~2.jpg

Time to pop the covers on and never use them. On the bright side (get it) there's less wind noise.

Just spare keys to number of locks on the 4runner (hitch locks, gas cans, Maxtrax recovery boards, shovel mount). Are you asking about the mike jack? I have that routed to the front. I use the Midland extension cord to run under the center console to the front. I like to keep as much hidden as possible.

Thinking about this just for the pedal lock for extra theft deterrent. Do you use that function? Any problems with servicing at the dealership with the sprint booster installed?

No, I haven't used the pedal lock. The sport/race modes and 1-7 settings work as they should. Switching between modes and settings is very intuative.

I don't understand the "servicing at the dealership" question. :D I drove my 4R off the lot 3 years ago and it hasn't seen a dealership since.

Got my ‘23 SR5 back in May last year. I’ve done some minor things like add amber lights and a bug deflector. Today I took off and painted the gray roof rack rails black with dip. Came out pretty ok for my first time using the stuff but we’ll see how long it lasts.IMG_6001.jpg

    Now for the next step…IMG_6002.jpg

Lol. I have 5 years of free oil changes so am wondering if they see it, if it will give them an excuse to void any warranty

    Thank you for the reply.
