Seat belt chime ?

Does the 2004 4Runner have an audible seatbelt noise until you put belt on ? My sons has flashing red light but no noise and trying to figure out if the 04’s even have a chime or noise before I bother trying to fix, thx

 

My 2004 Limited doesn't have chime, or at least it doesn't work if there was one.

Should able to read the owner's manual and find out.

 

Not a 4runner, but my 06 Tundra didn't have a chime either. Just a flashing light.

 

Thx and that’s what I’m starting to believe it just doesn’t exist in the 04. The manual shows a buzzer and light, but I’ve heard a few now say there is no audible chime or buzzer.

 

FWIW my 07 4runner has a seat belt chime.

 

Yes they do. It can be turned off using TechStream software and might have been done by a dealer at the previous owners request.
