Hello! New 4Runner owner here and super excited about all of the possibilities! I am hoping to purchase a camper trailer over the next year and looking for any advice. My plan is stick to a dry weight trailer of around 3000-3500 llbs to stay well under the 5k limit. What additional equipment will I need to look at purchasing? How difficult is the process of hitching up the camper and de-hitching when stopped or not using? Looking at Forest River, Keystone and Jayco campers... any tips/suggestions appreciated. Thank you! (Living in the midwest currently but likely moving back out to CO next summer)

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Remember to consider the weight of any equipment, food, water, clothes, chairs …..etc, you have in the camper to its towing weight.
I use this for hitching, it saved us from a divorce…..great company and support. The first setup was defective so they sent me the upgraded unit at no extra cost.

I have used it as a second set of remote eyes under my truck when I was troubleshooting a steering issue on my Dodge. I could move the steering wheel back and forth and see if there was play in the steering box or the other steering linkages.

Dont get one of those cheap campers....money pit. Look at Campinn.com. Tear drop campers..made in usa.. I have a 2013 that is still like brand new. no bathroom... no indoor kitchen.. but awesome camping experience!
