I just swapped out for the diode dynamic leds as well. But more importantly, I love the scarf in the garage.

Had a set on my 2015 tacoma with 2.5 inch lift and they went out within a year. Ball joint started popping after the first wheeling trip. It did help getting the alignment within specs.

Bypassed the fog light switch so I can run them without the low beams, this will come in handy at the beach.

It was super simple in my case since I had aftermarket fogs and an open switch on an aux panel; just ran 2 Deutsch connectors together and to the relay box.

The "bright box" plus a dash switch seems to be the usual way for a factory setup.

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
I am tagging along with a friend wanting to buy a 5th generation 4Runner here in Southern California.

Looked at two and both of them reminded me of people who proudly talk about their 10,000 mile oil change intervals, not doing a break-in oil change, and all the other stuff that they're very proud and plain to say that those maintenance things are not their concern as it's the next guy's problem.

4Runners are built really well with great engineering, but they need to be maintained and both of these cars were not maintained well enough to be bought without a purchase inspection by a mechanic. Red flags were more numerous than the stars and stripes at a 4th of July parade.

From sludge under the oil cap, oily exhaust pipes, shocks leaking, a leak at a banjo bolt near the power steering pump, the coolant being acidic and some red crust at the back of the block, these were nowhere near the condition they claimed when they were doing their bluebook valuation.

Hoping to pull one over on somebody is pretty effing evil.

Since both were way overpriced claiming "excellent" when they were more like "good" ratings according to Kelley Blue Book, otherwise known as Cox Automotive.

When I sell my cars, I have a printout of the service records including a log of fuel efficiency and DIY maintenance. I don't have a bunch of people coming by to look at my cars, they sell when the first person comes to see it.

Man I have changed a lot on my truck. Soo different from the stock

Saw a very interesting 4Runner. TRD with KDSS, but cloth seats and no sunroof.

Well, I was preparing to pull the trigger on a set of the aluminum CBI skid plates in the near future. However, while moving some more stuff from our old house I discovered that I still have the steel Gas Tank, T-case, and Transmission skids from Cali Raised brand new in their boxes. We packed them away in preparation of moving and they never made it onto the TRD Pro before selling it.

So, while I was aiming to go with aluminum to keep the weight down. It'll be far cheaper for me to just purchase the front skid from Cali Raised and install those instead.

Kojak, gotcha. I might consider if I get aftermarket fogs.

I changed the spark plugs in my 2020 today, the drive side bank looks a little oily. They have 85K on them. I switched to NGK

Also removed my OEM air filter, the intake makes a bunch of noise now. Is anyone running the K&N cone style kit?

Somehow I picked up two screws and a roofing nail on the front and rear passenger side tires driving through my development. Got a love it…. Iwas able to plug them.

Funny, heard the same about SPC’s. It’s not a hard wheeler. When and if this becomes one…. The entire suspension will be changed. So, they’ll do.. have not really heard much negativity on freedoms UCA’s

Guys, if you want good skid plates, then get the 1/2 inch steel ones. My skid plates are bashed pretty bad, bent too.

Changed the rear pads, rotors, new shims and pins. Went with OEM. Stupid that Toyota does not include any hardware with their OEM pads.
Anyhow, no more squeak and grinding. Let's see how long these last.
Next would be replacing worn out suspension parts.

Had to plug a tire through the thick part of the tread, luckily my cheap kit worked. Might revisit adding an Anderson connector for the compressor--alligator clips didn't have great contact with my new battery terminals.

Installed OEM rear mud flaps on my 2011. Mine did not come with a set from the factory.

Tried the Husky, random Chinese brand and then OEM. Nothing came close to the fit of the OEM. There are a few more brands like Rokblokz and REk. Frankly dint like either.

I pulled the trigger on an RCI roof rack and sliders taking advantage of their 15% off sale plus extra 10% off over $1k. I really like the design of their front fairing that matches the roof/windshield contour instead of the weird reverse curve everyone else seems to do that just looks awkward to me. I went with 5 degree plated sliders which should give me enough of a foothold for reaching the roof. Also ordered 4 1-Up bike trays to mount on the roof rack to go along with my 4 bike Super Duty hitch rack when I need to transport a bunch of bikes. My Pro roof rack and Predator steps will be available once I receive and install these, if anyone in the metro NY area is interested, send me a message.

Please stop reminding me about no moonroof options in 4runners. I HATE MOONROOFS and many times wish my 4runners have no moonroofs.

I wish mine wasnt there, but I do use it often. Much better air flow with the moon roof and back window both open a couple inches.

We appreciate you ordering the transmissions skids from us before and for thinking of us for your future purchase for the front skid:). We would love to see pics of it, once it's installed!

Since I definitely need more roof lights that I hardly ever use, made an 80/20 mount adapter to bring them lower and clear the rack verticals. Will squeeze in one more soon.
