Back up camera issue

Hi,

I have a 2017 4Runner SR5. My back up camera isn’t working however unlike most people who see a black screen when they reverse, the head unit does not change at all. So it’s like my head unit has no idea I’m in reverse at all.

my rear tail lights also seem to work, so it seems like my issue is somewhere else on the circuit.

do you have any advice on what issue may be? Thanks!!!

 

Now all of a sudden it works. The connection must not be super great in cold temps.
