Took some time to play close to home today. Nothing challenging, but got to make sure the bike rack worked properly with the relocated hitch mount.

also got the obligatory poser shot.

One of the best Limited if not the best build Ive seen brother great job! Love seeing you add the necessity's to your lifestyle vs just adding a bunch a stuff you dont/won't need.

@trl1990561 nailed it - love the build. I've had my Limited for a week and already love it.

    Couple questions for you...
    - When you went to the 1-2 Cornfed lift, did you keep the XREAS intact? if so, did you notice any changes/issues? Right now, I'm thinking of doing a 1-0 and going to 285s or 275s. I suspect I'll do the liner push.
    - When you cut the rockers, did you consider swapping to the TRD rocker moulding and caps, and leaving the Limited pieces in tact (on a shelf to be thrown away years later)?

Welcome, and so glad you are enjoying your 4runner Limited.

    1. a. I kept XREAS when I did the lift. Keeping the working XREAS is the reason I chose this lift. Cornfed has a kit that is designed to keep XREAS intact. At the time there were only ~30,000 miles on ODO, and XREAS was (is) still plugging away doing its thing.
    b. I've NOT had ANY issues with the lift. I've put about 15,000 miles on the truck since adding it. It has performed exactly as advertised, no leaks, XREAS still working.
Changes - I've not noticed any decrease in performance Off Road. Perhaps from the Pre-load you get some more harshness going over potholes. I don't notice anything which bothers me.
(this is the best part of a < $200 lift. If you don't like the ride you can undo it all and go back to how it was.
    c. I wheeled several times on the 275/70R17 tires before the lift and the fender liner push is all that I needed, along with paying very close attention to wheel offsets and using the TRD Off Road wheels, because they are 7.5" wide without sticking out too far. I didn't try 285s yet, but it looks like the Cornfed lift at 1"/0" or the 2"/1" will will work with 285s.

    2. Rock sliders and rocker trim - When I went to Rock Sliders I considered almost every option. I checked into the TRD Rocker Panels and they looked kinda cool, however I think it was about $600 and there was that last part where you have to purchase the rear door molding and paint them to color match unless you want that odd part hanging down from the door. (You can see some pictures on the internet where it is done, and I hated that.) It was going to cost hundreds of dollars and not look the way I wanted.

That is really good info on the lift and tires. I'm in offset/backspace/width/ hell right now trying to decide which way to go. Your build is such a good resource for me!

Not buying $500 worth of plastic makes a lot of sense, especially when it would then need to be painted - likely by a bodyshop to actually match.

Thanks for the feedback on that lift for the Limited with XREAS from Cornfed. Most locals have been telling it is very difficult with the XREAS and would most likely have to remove it to do any lifts and I am not interested in removing XREAS since I really ride with it. I am going to order parts and get this done soon. Thanks again, nice setup by the way.
