We had a good rain the other day, and my 4Runner was leaking water onto the driver side floor from behind the plastics at my shins?? Anyone had this happen?

Do you have a moon roof? I've heard of the drains clogging and water getting in. But, that sounds like an odd place for it to come in.

The only vehicle I've ever owned that had a similar instance was a 72 T-Bird...caused by a door seal leak. Wouldn't hurt to take a close look at the seals on your door.

I’d still check the drains if I could.

Anything else change lately like windshield replacement?

Did you feel all over? Maybe opening a door and peeling back the weather stripping could show you dampness that might not be apparent.

Otherwise I’d run my hands all over the place up and down just to be sure.

I would run some weed whacker line down the moon roof drain holes first, and go from there.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.

So I do believe it’s my sunroof. It wasn’t wet where it was before. But it really sucks cause the water is getting into my little console thing where the a-trac, traction control, and DAC buttons are and it also somehow effete my head unit. It turns off when this happens. But I’m thinking it’s running all the down the pillar all the way to my feet..

All moving glass on your vehicle are basically controlled leak paths. The moonroof has a water tray around the perimeter with 4 drain tubes, 2 of which run down the A-pillars. If the tube disconnected from its spigot or if the tube develops cracks, water will leak. This is a somewhat common issue on 4Runners and 3rd gen Tacomas.
