My methods are still missing. Not sure when they will arrive. Hopefully they call tomorrow.

In other news, decide to add some burnt orange to the runner.

Removed centercap from Method NVs while TRD replacements are on order.

Waiting on Devil horns, should be shipped next week. Sliders and bumper should go out sometime next month. The build is almost done. Kinda. May upgrade front springs to the next level due to bumper weight. We shall see.

Upgraded fog lights, added 3D printed TRD centercaps, and added devilhorns from Diaz Fabrication. Good day for my sweet Eleanor.

Looks like Morimoto fogs? I’ve been back and forth between those and Baja pods.

The 85 has been named Tracy.

Ryan welded and fixed the exhaust this morning and she no longer sounds absurdly loud. She’s been moved into the garage temporarily. The agreement was that if one new project came home, one needs to go. We will be working on getting the expo trailer ready for sale in the next few weeks, hopefully. I think Tracy is way cooler than the expo trailer.

    Hi, Daria,
I just installed a pair of Morimoto LED fogs today and had a little trouble with beam alignment that is still unresolved. Did you have any problems when installing yours? TIA.

I think they are low. Honestly haven't even tried or thought about aiming.

Thanx for the response. Did you have any problems installing them? It doesn't really matter if they are aimed correctly, but are they both horizontal or is one or both tilted?

Seemed to go only one way. Specific to each side. Pretty sure they are flat.

Yes, I know that, but one has a skew instead of being perfectly horizontal. Morimoto says they fit my truck but the configuration of the brackets on the lights I removed are a bit different than the new ones. I can make them work, but just not perfectly and Morimoto is no help.

This is the left side unit I took out. Look at the tabs on the left side. They are staggered and the Morimotos they recommend are squared. They are not in the same position as the units they sent me and say are the proper application for my truck.

I found the problem. I pulled the bad unit out and found that it hadn't been assembled properly. There's a pair of pivots on the body that allow raising and lowering the beam and one side was not seated. Popped it into position and the beam fell into place. All is good. Thanx for your help folks! :)

So our SOS Concepts armor came in but we decided to switch gears. We are keeping the sliders but selling the bumper. Now that we have the 85 4runner, there’s no use in beating up the nice pretty 18 4runner. Not for a while at least.

Just got back from vacation. Relaxing and cruising kept our MPGs at 20ish MPG before tire size correction.

    37s club.

Gonna sell the 85 within the next six months once Toyota buggy is home and running. The 85 sure is a lot of fun though.

Tracy the 85 will be sold within the next few months. She’s still a bad ass rig but her predecessor will be home and we don’t have space for all the toys.

Eleanor will be up for sale in a couple weeks. I think I’m going Lexus for the next rig.
