Yup. I've been noticing that since we got it. Helps with the hood scoop reflecting in the sun ;):( but it doesn't help my OCD with a clean car.

I wrapped the hood with flat army green, to eliminate the suns reflection. Plus it’s green when I’m driving!

Finally got to 2 little mods.

    1. black overlay grille bar - I want to keep the AG crossbar but I don't like how busy the top and bottom grille are so I might redo that for the heritage look but not the Pro crossbar.

    2. lamin-x fog light covers - not sure about the yellow. I know it helps with rain and fog but I like the amber look better with the AG. I am thinking light bar and ditch lights in the future for the visibility.

I was out there for some biking last September - cool town! Devils Den State Park has some really good mountain biking - about 45 minutes south of Bentonville.

I love Arkansas trails. The Waltons are investing a lot of money in Bentonville for trails!

The Waltons have done a great job making Bentonville a mountain biking destination. I was bummed that we didn't give it more time to check it out more trails, but it seems like most of the trails are very bike parkish. I prefer the more natural old school single track trails. Plus, we were in a hurry to get to Colorado and Utah to hit those epic trails. Bentonville was a pit stop for one day on the way out west from Maryland.

Saw my first AG on a trip to Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula last week. I was in my LR ORP. I must say that the AG color is probably my second favorite :)

Finally got the platform built. Need to buy the tracks for the slide out and try and figure out how to anchor it. Might cover it with a vinyl but going to see how the wood does.

Looks fantastic! It looks like you could have built it out horizontally another 6 inches or so toward the rear hatch. Is the idea that you will be able to open the drawers a little with the rear hatch closed?

Thanks @Connor MacLeod! I don't think you can tell but I built it short for 2 reason - 1) space for your toes (haha) if you are on your stomach 2) the last little bit of the truck space of the 4Runner slopes and I didn't like the idea of the extruded aluminum cantilevering over the surface - while minimal it just felt weird when I mocked it up with a wood 2x4.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean in one of the photos above. The extruded aluminum gives it a really classy and custom appearance - looking forward to seeing the finished product!

I appreciate it. It's more than my wife probably wanted me to spend but when it comes to comfort I bet she will be happy when we use it vs having the seats slant up and a low spot right at your waist.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
