Newbee here. I plan on selling my ‘05, V8 with 126,000 miles in 1-2 years. So I don’t want to sink lots of $$$ into it now if not necessary.

I’ll put around 10k miles on it during that time.

My question: Is it worth the risk of NOT doing the timing belt?

It’s running perfectly. Yes, I know the cost of dealer installation.

So I am specifically asking for OPINIONS…with actual experience would be a plus. Thanks.

You would most likely get more buyers if they knew the timing belt was replaced……just my $.02.

Lots with more in the works
I agree with this. Not having the timing belt done would be a negotiation point if I was buying the vehicle. I'd want a lower price for it since that work would have to be done ASAP.
