Replacing Badges

I just purchased a 2021 TRD Off Road Premium. The truck is like new with one exception. It seems there might have been some scuff repair and paint blending on the driver's side. They had removed the TRD Off Road badging at some point and it must have been misplaced and not re- applied. They also removed the passenger side badges. I have the passenger side badges and purchased some "used" badges for the driver's side.

Any input on applying new adhesive to the badges to re-apply them?

 

Double side 3M tape for Auto 03615 and slightly heat the adhesive before applying.

I love my "TRD Off Road" badges.

There are so many 4Runners in the area... anything to personalize mine a bit I'll consider xD

 

I remember back in the early 90's and mid-90's, people would gold plate their badging. This was mostly done on Lexus/BMW/Mercedes, but I think it would look cool to see it on a 4Runner.

 

There's some gold badged 5ths out there, should look great on yours

 

Really hope Toyota does NOT put the incredibly stupid looking badging on the interior passenger of the new 4Runner. So dumb and over the top to have such badging inside the vehicle.

Toyota and Tacoma both have it and I'd love to slap the marketing person who pitched that idea in the meeting.

 

That does look obnoxious.

 

Really hope they aren't molded into the plastic and can't be easily removed.

 

Actually I'm doing the black overlays.

 

I re-did mine with a black overlay on my Nautical Blue.

Rebadge it as a Ford Tacoma and put Ferrari emblems under the mirrors. Stick on plastic vents from Autozone on the hood. And one stripper silhouette on the back hatch that has broken lift pistons near your ladder. Then take off the roof rack but leave ladder. Winner.
Post on here after and the r/4runner site with a question about cold air improvements proven by dyno. Then after you get the PhD. in 4Runners turn around and buy a supercharger and install Carolina squat. Congrats, pimp.
