I changed my oil and installed the ValvoMax drain system. I also learned a few things during this process.

    1) I found out like many others, the dealership uses bulk oil out of a drum that is not Toyota spec'ed oil.

    2) They horrendously over tightened everything. I'm surprised nothing broke when I removed them.

    3) I'll never take my 4Runner back to a dealer again as they don't even have a grasp of the fundamentals.

Hey, I got one for Xmas. I am about to put it on in a few weeks at my next oil change. Is the torque the same as the drain plug currently on it? Thanks!

I got my Android Auto to play YouTube on my screen. I did it for the unlimited music. You have to download a couple of apps (Fermato Auto & AAAD) but it works and to me, the sound is so much better than satellite radio or the radio itself (depending on the video). Plus, if you have kids, they love watching all of the videos. Unfortunately, it used to play videos without commercials, but with the updates, the commercials play just like on YouTube on your computer. One day I will have to go in and delete the current versions to go back to a version that does not play the commercials. The apps are free too!

I'm going to assume it is as the material is the same as the OEM plug and more importantly, it's the same size.

Improvised some L brackets from some left over materials and temp-mounted to top of rear molle window panels. It's working fine for now.. if I do more work requiring this, I'll probably convert to a cali raised top shelf or rago shelf mount, but... that's what I did today.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

Can you blur out real life? "Scammers" can get your plate number while you're driving around.

Trust me, if someone wants to get your info, they'll get it.

What have I done to my 5th gen today? Well, I used the heated seat to continue proofing some dough en-route to a friends place a couple hours away. :D

That is a really productive day. I want to extend the rear-diff-breather, but to be honest I'm pretty nervous about screwing it up, I've been hesitant to pull the trigger and order the stuff to get it done.

Swapped out the archaic radio unit on my 2011 with a 2021 with navigation. It was mostly plug and play. Had to scrape a few connector plastic to make them fit.
The new head unit at least looks modern and it's OEM. The hazard switch did not work and needed to be improvised.
Has android auto but I do not use it. The sound quality has improved though it's still a lot to be desired.
My amps and woofer days are behind me so this should work just fine for the FM listening I do.

Ha! I have done this exact same thing. I took some baked goods (don't worry, they were the legal kind!) to a friend and put them on the passengers seat, with the seat heater on high. They stayed oven-fresh & warm until I arrived.

How did you rectify the hazard switch not working? Was not working before or after the radio swap?

Is your runner a SR5 premium or base?
What is the 21 radio out of?
Do you have a PT number for it too?

Just put on Dobinson’s adjustable UCA’s for more flexibility with the caster and camber for off-roading and cleaned up the front fenders to cut out the rubbing and creating more space without having to do a viper cut. Front sits at 2.7 and back 2.
