So, I just did a valve gasket change on my 2001 4runner sr5. After putting everything back together, the car now is shaking bad, and the engine light came on. What could be the cause? Now I'm thinking maybe it is the spark plugs.

Maybe look at the check engine light?

And valve gasket as in the valve cover?

Did you replace all the gaskets? Spark Plug tube, Intake etc?

Put all the vacuum hoses back?

All gaskets was change. I'm thinking it is my spark plugs. Going to friends house to borrow code reader. Will let you know. I hope that it is the spark plugs or a sensor that I didn't connect.

As I was taking off the intake pipe, I saw that one of the sensors to cylinder 5 was not on. Put that bad boy on and now my car is purring like a kitten :dancingbroccoli:. I appreciate the feedback.
