I use the amsoil products mentioned in this article. ^

 

I used Ravenol SAE 75W in the TC on my Tacomas. Now use it in the TC of the SR5. No problems.

 

Ravenol straight 75W (This is for transfer case only). Use any name brand 75W-85 GL-5 for front/rear diff.

Edit: 75W MTF-3 (equivalent to GL-3, GL-4) is a ultra-low sulfur content oil and does not react with brass or copper. CCN mentioned only manual transmission has brass syncro-ring that can be damaged. Since Ravenol makes 75W affordable to us then I don't see why not.

 

How much does it cost to do on your own?

 

I did a lot of research and over thought this one but after watching the CarCareNut, etc I went with Red Line from Amazon shipped direct from R/A Hoerr which is an authorized seller of Red Line (MT-LV Transfer Case)(75W85 front and rear Diffs)
