I'm waiting on my '24 TRD ORP Solar Octane and wondering if anyone has painted their front valance body color. Do you have a picture?

The black hood scoop is OEM, it came that way. I bought some vinyl wrap I’m going to put under the hood protector to stop that kind of damage. I mostly like the look and hopefully it will slow down the insane amount of bug splats this windshield gets . I’m thinking next thing is the winch. I’ll probably overdo the mods… I have a problem.

I would just buy the parts. Here is a thread with the OEM part numbers: they aren’t too expensive. And will give you the OEM look.

IMG_1622.jpg So I walked out of the gym to see this parked next to my 4R. I should have known it would be my buddy that owns both the Ford and Toyota dealership. He says he’s loves the color. It’s not quite Solar Octane but very close and I thought it deserved a mention on this thread.

There's a solar octane 4x2 TRD Sport at my local dealer. The only box it checks is color, but I can't quit thinking about going to check it out. I had a 2016 Inferno Tacoma and loved it! Solar Octane might even be better!

I am not a Ford fan.....but that is one of the very few American trucks I would consider owning if they weren't so stupid expensive lol. If I am to nitpick, the background of the decal should have been darker so the red "R" pops more :D but otherwise beautiful truck.

Question on the hood scoop decal. Is it very hard to get it placed just Right? I have had some question all results in the past and a little hesident to tackle the application. Looking for pointers before attempting myself.

Not hard. prep with soap water. soap water mix in a spray bottle, lub the hood and the decal. The lube will allow you to move it around. Once inplace, squeegee out. I like to go over with heat gun after just to set it.

How do you like the ride? I like the westcott lift when I had it on my 21 tundra Pro. I have it waiting to do my 23 Pro.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try the soap method and credit card squeegee method. i wasn't sure if that decal allowed for water to keep from setting up prematurely.

Holy cow, How high is that lift? Do you plan on putting larger tires on it? Also, can you please link which lift kit you used? Thanks.

Picked this up last week, when saw I this color I knew I would get one, plus I wanted to get a 4Runner before they changed it, I traded in my 20 Tacoma OR Voodoo Blue.
Put wheels and tires on this week, Method MR 705 with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss At 265/70-17 XL’s , I’ve got some Morimoto 4 banger fog lights to put on that I took off my Tacoma

Probably the best looking truck on the market since the Voodoo blue TRD Pro.

I went by a dealer today and saw the Terra TRD Pro again and passed big time again.

The Terra has kinda grown on me a lil but I sure am glad I went w/ the 2023 Solar Octane…. As far as the previous comments on VooDoo Blue…. I hope to some day add one to my collection.

Thanks Man! Going to do a full build later this year with 8112's/Full Bumper and some proper 8" Wheels..

I wonder how a forged brushed wheel would look?

I would love to see a pic of a wheel like the one below mounted to a solar octane 4R.

I posted this pic sometime back, but this is the closest I’ve seen to a polished wheel on a solar octane vehicle.

I would have gone with the new SCS wheels F16’s with the polish lip but the wife did not think the holes looked good and that polish reminds of too much on my C7 Z06 wheels.
