The 3-6+ second rule between vehicles is a reasonable distance on every road regardless of speed. Hope that helps.

I see you were exploring Gold Camp Road/ Old Stage Road! I love it there, driven it several times all the way through to Cripple Creek.

Last weekend I drove by Christopher creek passed Payson on my way to Colorado and it was gorgeous.


on the way back I drove through 4 corners and it was very stormy with high winds blowing sand on the road then hit a snowstorm going through Flagstaff. It was fun though.

 

I love these photos. I miss driving through the southwest. I may have to do another road trip soon.

It's easy to spot the CGI, since there isn't a speck of dust on the tires in spite of driving through a desert, and the interior is more visible than in any 4Runner photo I've seen, but still a fun photoshop job.

Roaming the NC mountains. Found the limits of the stock Dunlops on a damp 30-degree slope. Rear locker and Atrac on, still wouldn’t make it. Tire store, here we come.

The 4Runner only got off road as far as the parking lot today but the wife, pup, and I got out and explored the Lost Dutchman State Park. Absolutely beautiful! My pics do it no justice at all
