Hi ,I was wondering if someone could help me on this forum, i have a problem with my liftgate window rolling itself down , and it will not roll itself back up. Neither the dash switch or the key on the liftgate will get it to go up again, im assuming its a short wire somewhere, maybe from the ecu? so I read about hotwiring it with a small 12v battery. So long story short I have the panel off and located what I think is the plug for then motor and it has six wires, which ones do i have to apply 12v to to get it to roll up? I have pictures of it below. My goal is to get the window back up and leave the motor unplugged, I dont ever use the liftgate window anyways, any advice would be appreciated, tia

The insulation on that red/blk wire in your first pic looks suspiciously melted. I would cut back that tape overwrap and investigate before you even consider 'hot wiring' anything!

Edit: That red/blk wire could also have been pinched against something possibly causing an intermittent short (to ground). I would first investigate as I mentioned above, if there's no signs of further wire damage to it or any other in that bundle I would then gently overwrap with electrical tape over that damaged section, re-install and test.

Check your battery and charging system. Weird unexplained symptoms like this often come back to that.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I inspected that wire and I think it may be the actual problem, tried taping it up again, no luck. I was able to find the actual diagram for the door online for free and then I was able to get the window up using a tractor battery. Woo hoo problem solved I guess. One day when Im feeling brave I might try to actually fix the wire problem but its good for now. I never roll that window down anyways. LOL Thanks alot everyone that tried to help
