Has anyone had any experience with this? Wondering if it is worth the money.

    https://urdusa.com/afe-power-76mm-throttle-body/

Disclaimer: I am well aware these vehicles are not race cars. I know if I want something fast that I should buy something else. I know that a supercharger is going to provide the most available power which I plan to add after my Christmas bonus comes this year.

With all of that being said, if there is more power that can be gotten out of a 5th gen, why not get it? This vehicle is only driven on weekends as I have a company car. I do not give a f**k about gas mileage. I’ve had it for a little over a year and only have 5k miles on it.

I am currently looking at any and all options. I won’t say money is no object but I am willing to spend the money if the bang is worth the buck.

I ordered one and will be testing it on the road as well as on the dyno as part of the Overland Tailor’s continued development process. OTT is testing a bunch of bolt ons for various platforms so people can know what works and what doesn’t. We don’t believe in butt-dyno only results, everything goes in the rollers. it provides gains or improved throttle response or some other improvement or it doesn’t and we will let people know.

I’m doing the AFE version, but same concept.

Make sure to test it after couple thousand miles too after the 4R adjusts for it.

It will adjust pretty quick when you have tuning software to tell it how to adjust :p

The “learning” on these trucks isn’t as slow as some may lead people to believe. Expose the vehicle to multiple load and rpm conditions and it will “learn” very quickly per the Toyota knock control strategy.

I would expect much NA, but if you are planning on supercharging in the future it wouldn't hurt. There will definitely be gains with a larger throttle body on the supercharger.

I absolutely love how you guys test the bolt on "performance" adders. Any chance you'll be testing the urd mid pipe? I see they are offering it again.

Not planned currently. Exhaust usually adds at the top end and personally, I want to generate more HP/TQ below 4000 rpm where I actually drive my 4Runner most the time. I don’t really care about more HP/TQ at redline.

Likely testing the Anderson Engineering intake manifold spacer next. It actually worked on the 2GT so we are looking at testing it on the T4R.

Well ill tell you first hand, this throttle body doesn't do much if anything.

I got one stupid cheap, brand new off my local fb marketplace. I paid $75 from a guy who bought one then sold his 4runner. Its definitely not worth voiding your warranty. Oh well
