Meso Customs Puddle Pods

Got around to installing the Meso Customs puddle pods my daughter bought me for Christmas and they're terrific! My understanding is that the OEM halogen lights are 25 lumens and the Meso Customs LED lights are 400 lumens and the difference is noticeable! During installation the first mirror came off no problem but on the second mirror two tabs broke off as I removed it I was able to epoxy these tabs back on and everything seems good but if not I'll just buy a replacement mirror for $100.

Eh, I'll bump this. Just purchased a set last night after doing the Premium Mirror Upgrade. How Difficult was the install? Assuming not very difficult.

 

Very nice. I almost bought these but then realized they don't work for models with 360 cameras
Ended up going with the Diode Dynamics bulb replacement. Huge difference.

Install is quite similar to the meso customs light upgrade. The hardest part is carefully putting enough force into the mirror to disassemble it. I swore it felt like I was gonna break the thing into pieces. But it came right apart with no drama and no broken clips. I think meso has some install videos it would be worth watching if you haven't already!

Yes definitely watch a couple of videos before you get started. My first mirror came off no problem but on the second one a couple of tabs broke so I ended up spending another $100 for a replacement mirror

 

They do have an install section but it was for the tacoma. I was hoping someone wit a 4R had a write up for "4runners"

Try this then - I don't think it is quite as easy as this guy makes it out to be but this will give you an idea what you are getting into before you get a chance to watch the video

Ok so reading that. I shouldn't have to go hay wire with additional wiring since i upgraded mirrors with turns and puddles, correct?

I've already upgraded my SR5 ( peasant ) and equipped it with the Premium Mirrors with the Turn Signals and Puddle lights. That was an easy task. Also I resurrected that post last month. What i was asking since i've already done that adding the MESO Customs Puddle lights should be "Plug and Play" I recall seeing some other post that was involving taking the pillar apart and tapping wires. My thought is, that i've already done this and should be easy peasy.

 

Yes if the puddle lights are already wired and working in your new mirrors then this should be plug and play ​
