How much downstroke on the KDSS up front?

I just finished installing the Talons Garage full skid plate package on my '24 TRD OR which is supposed to be KDSS compatible. There ended up being less clearance between the front skid and the KDSS component than I would have expected. I feel like there's going to be contact when I flex unless there is much down stroke on the KDSS piston. What do you guys think?

In case anyone is still interested, I found that the ram has about 3.5" of total stroke in my flex testing, 1.75" up and 1.75" down. Therefor, as the 4R sits with all tires on level ground, you should have up to 2" of clearance between the bottom of the RAM and a skid plate.

Thanks for coming back with the numbers. I’ve been looking at the talons garage set. Does the front skid have any cut outs or is it totally solid? I’d just be worried about losing airflow to my front diff.

Did the skid plate end up interfering with the sway bar? It really looks like it is close.

I tested my front skid for clearance by putting ramps in front of the passenger front and driver's rear tires and driving up them.

Yes, here's a picture of the first front skid:

I did the same and yes it did. I took some pictures and sent some measurements and Shaun at Talon's immediately revised their design, sent me images to review in advance and fab'd up a new one. It's on the FedEx truck as I write this. They were terrific to work with and couldn't have been more responsive so I can't give them enough thumb's up! My 4R isn't garaged so I'm really happy that my CAT's are also more protected now.
