Another mod day. Matte black hood scoop vinyl decal, in hopes for anti glare during those sunset drives. Few tiny bubbles but good enough for me lol.

they were not added as a safety piece, they were added so her little legs could get in the 4runner,

I have one to put on after paint correction and ceramic coat this week.
Just messing with it, wondering how I am going to get it lined up right.

Most of the mess came off on the drive back in the misty rain.

 

The directions that came with your decal probably say this, but just in case: When you apply the decal, make sure to add a drop or two of liquid soap (e.g., Dawn soap) to the water you will spray on as part of the process. This breaks the surface tension and allows the decal to more or less slide around freely until you start to press it down onto the hood. With a little soap in the water, you probably won't have any issues with alignment or bubbling.

Work continues on my 4Runner's military pup trailer, getting ready for a trip to Utah in May. Added a proper off-road jockey wheel from ARK, mounted up the spare trailer tire and also mounted the base rails on the top which will eventually get a platform from Eezi-Awn on my way through Salt Lake City in May.

 

I think you're right. On the contrary, I've read others here in other threads bring up the point that if you have sliders bolted or welded to your frame, it could increase the possibility of your 4R rolling over in the event of an accident like a T-bone (especially with lifted 4R's).

 

Thanks. I followed the YouTube video that the seller provided in the shipment. Used a few drops of dish soap and water in a spray bottle. You can easily move the decal around to position it as best you can while it’s wet, before squeegeeing the decal. Take your time, you should be fine.

 

Ordered Dr. KDSS billet clamps(front and rear), and some more skid plates for KDSS and lower links

I got married early. Kids grown up now. Living my life, and no divorce lol

 

for the sake of clarification...she did not say no, but rather she would prefer the steps. I dont do a ton of offroading anymore because I got tired of repairing shit I would break. So I really dont care either way, if it makes her happy and makes her want to ride in the 4runner so be it. I dont have a lift or skids on this one either, she is primarily a pavement princess with weekend visits to the mountains.

My 4R is my wife and kids daily, but the wife is about to buy a second vehicle. So for now, I'll live offroad vicariously through you !

 

I bought this truck for one purpose and one purpose only, to go places. 20k miles already!

Gladiators are pretty cool actually, when jacked up. I've seen some nice ones.

I've been busy this past week installing stuff and I think I'm just about done setting up this new 4Runner, LFD Crossbar kit, TRD Skid plate(not OEM) for KDSS, Solidify 3D storage doors, Husky liners, & Desert Does it seat jackers and mount panel. Ordered the Meso hatch lights and that should be it for a while!

 

You're gonna love the hatch lights. Just installed mine today, quality is amazing.

 

Ya I have some in our Tacoma, hoping they're as good or better!
