Use a relay like this one, fourth image on the product page has an illustration how to hook the relay up. "Trigger source" would be a simple tap off one of the existing fog light's positive lead wire.

Cut some of the rear trailing arm bracket off and change the zirk fittings so I could lube thee guys without dropping them down each time. I bought some plate metal to weld braces and support onto these at a later date.

Cut both sides a little different - trying out different things.

I didn't add a relay for my LED grille lights, since they draw so little amps. But if he's adding fogs to the existing lighting system, he'll definitely need a relay.

I forgot to add a note to that diagram to say that *if* the combined current draw of whatever existing lighting circuit PLUS the added fog light current draw does not exceed the existing fused circuit rating then he could omit a relay...but its better to keep circuits isolated, easier to troubleshoot issues if/when they arise.

Rec’d Meso Customs dual color hatch lights today from 4RunnerLifestyle. Installation was a breeze. Fits perfectly. Super bright in both colors. Very happy with them.

I'm biased toward white letters lol. I think that will great with your color. I just sanded mine, hit them with primer, then white paint and clear. They have held up to everything perfectly so far.

The problem is that if I do it myself it may not be smooth and perfect. 150 bucks to a body shop a good idea?

I can't speak on anyone's abilities but my own but it's definitely do able with proper prep work, time and good materials! $150 all in? I don't consider that outrageous. There is a decent amount of time involved with proper prep. I would pay $150.

I did mine flat actually lol. But I hate gloss. I'm odd. I think to do it the "right way" would be to have some Toyota white made at a paint shop and use that. I think it's called ice cap?

Let’s face it, I feel like I earn $150 on Sundays when my wife wants me to grill burgers. All that meal prep, cleaning the grill, charcoal, smoke, cleaning the kitchen after. Geez, I’m underpaid. Yeah, $150 for a professional to do a professional job on something that’s really a PITA. I definitely be in.

My “super white” or now called “ice cap” white Tacoma is code 040 if that helps at all. If I was going to pay $150 and they’re gonna mix paint up anyway, I’d have them at least make it a Toyota color.

Relocated my fire extinguisher to the front driver side for easy and quick access. I only need this size to put out the fire before it gets to big to handle. If does get to big, I let it burn to the ground. A car can get replaced.

Applied the yellow Lamin-X film to the LED driving lights, to make them fogs. Glad I watched some Youtube videos, apparently removing the fog light housing is different on a Limited than the other models (area of the front fascia is different). Film went on very easily, no bubbles, seems pretty durable. Hardest thing I ran into was removing those white plastic clips that holds the light surrounds onto the bumper, what a PITA (three on each side). Since I got this far in order to tint the lenses, I could've just replaced them with actual yellow LED fog lights. But I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars for what could've been done with a simple bulb swap. Toyota got this one ALL wrong on my '23 Limited.

This is why you can't do a simple bulb swap:

I got these vinyl decals. Makes the letters pop just enough without having the entire letter that color. Have held up great through many a car wash. (Sorry just noticed somebody already posted this - they work great though - I also got them to touch up my TRD center caps which were starting to fade - great quality for the price)
