We are just discussing offroad capability. I own both Toyota and Jeep, not Wrangler though. But I have owned several Wranglers in the past

Are you gonna go LT? Because long travel is pretty cool. It’s probably pretty cheap and easy to do.

I got the extended shocks myself for the extra half inch which is what my wife has always called me; Mr Half Inch.

Not now. Once I kill my BP-51s and it is time to get new ones.

It pains me that Toyota doesn’t seem to let the twin-clutch rear axle shine like that design can and does in Ford’s and Honda’s crossovers.

I haven’t seen a review yet where it seems like a definitive improvement over more typical single-clutch + traction control systems. (See: lower-trim gas RAV4’s and most other CUVs)

I’d guess it’s either half-assed since they’re gonna sell anyway, programmed to take it easier for longer-life and/or expected to only perform in inclement weather.

I’d love to see a TRD Off-Road RAV4 with an improved approach angle and maybe an inch more of clearance but welp, the off-road appearance package trend is pretty hot these days. We’ll see if actually changing things pays off with buyers. (ex. Honda’s Trailsport is slowly moving from solely an appearance package to more changes)

Let's make a case for the Rav4. Comfort, handling, good gas mileage, smaller and more manageable size? I am curious why people pay that $42k. Could it be that they don't know $42k can get them a 4Runner?

And as expected, due to high demand, dealers are adding big markups. For some RAV4 Primes I’ve seen prices of $55K. Unbelievable.

I think the Rav4 prime is worth $50k. It is very fast, and has 35 miles of EV range. And believe it or not, with those electric motors it is pretty decent offroad. But this so called TRD Offroad Rav4 is not worth anything more than $35k.

Prime or not, those who pay 55k for a Rav4 deserve to have their money parted from them.
