C4 bumper, which light bar?

Hey guys! I got the C4 shorty bumper from the big guy in the red suit and am trying to decide on which Amber colored light bar to go with? My budget is around the $300 mark, and was looking at the LasFit one as I already have their LED's in my low beams.

The LasFit is reported to be a 32" lightbar, so I am not sure it will work with the bumper as it says it is cut for a 30" bar.

Do any of you know if the LasFit will work, or if you guys have the Lasfit?
If not, what do you recommend in my price range?

Extreme LED makes a 30” that may meet your budget.

 

Be aware that if you get a light bar not listed on the C4 site then you will likely have to figure out some custom mounting brackets. That may be a PITA. C4 may have a bracket to sell you.

 

Yep. I used DD and it was a pain in the rear. Love DD but for this application I’d use what C4 tells you.

 

Another vote for Extreme LED if it fits your C4. I have a 25" slim combo in my TSO Incog bumper. It has the inclusion of a key chain remote so you don't have to run wires for the switch thru the firewall. It comes with a lighted rocker switch, too.

 

The challenge you’ll face is ‘if it fits’. If it’s not precisely a fit then it won’t work at all. That’s why C4 tells you what precisely fits. If you’re good at custom metal work then my guess is you wouldn’t be asking the question. If not, like most and me, just buy what they tell you fits. It’s a huge PIA to get a different light bar to fit in that bumper if it’s not designed for it. I did with my DD but had to make custom brackets and in hindsight I’d just buy the correct light bar.

 

Diode Dynamics fits really well. Plenty of space in there with the winch too (at least with HF Badlands).

Designed my own brackets to fit. If you need a pair LMK, had some extras made last time I ordered.

Herectic 30” with their brackets fit without issues. Good output, slightly orangey, I prefer DD’s amber shade a bit more.

 

I got a light bar from their site for this reason.

Well it didn't fit. I had to use some waters as spacers and grind down the brackets that it came with to make it work.

I emailed them about it and they didn't GAF.

 

Yeah. They're not super helpful about aftermarket support. Seems they could refresh their design for their brackets inside to make it more friendly for other lights with easy adjustments.

 

That's just it. I bought the light from their site at the same time as I bought my lopro because the website said that light bar would fit and they couldn't guarantee other light bars would fit. So the bar I bought from them didn't fit. It was the supported light bar from them.

 

Masked, Scuffed, Painted it black.
Had it plasti-dipped but it needed to be redone and figured I’d make it permanent.

Thacrow....will you share what light you bought that didnt fit?

 

It was the Baja S8 purchased from C4 with the bumper. I messaged them about it to give feedback they said maybe part of the bumper was welded incorrectly.

 

I kind of assume every bumper fabricator designs their bumpers around the S8, I know a plenty of people with the C4 and a S8 in there

 

It was definitely the defacto bar for some time.
