I'm keeping the Xreas. I like Xreas.
I only have around 30k miles on my limited.

Wondering about on road ride quality - will cornfed spacers improve on road ride quality?

I've already ditched the 20" wheels in favor of 17" wheels so I have more sidewall for a cushion in my ride.

I'm wondering if the spacers would reduce roll, nosedive, and/or do anything else I'd like - but I'm solely concerned with on road ride quality for purposes of this post.

No Xreas here, but I immediately noticed a huge difference in lack of nosedive after installation of my Cornfed leveling spacers. I hadn’t considered it, but it was MUCH appreciated.

I too have an 18 Limited and looked into the spacer lift. I did a little research here on this forum and after decided against it. I saw a few posts where folks stated they developed leaks afterwards but can you say it had something to do with adding spacers? I don’t know but I read enough to shy away as I don’t want to find out. I figured I’d keep it stock until the time comes to lift it a few inches properly.

I have 2 Runners, one is a Limited, the other is a Venture. We added the Cornfed leveling spacers to the front of the Venture and noticed zero difference in the on-road ride quality you’re asking about. The main difference is way-less nose diving during braking. That’s already noted above.

Just curious: can you be more specific about what it is about the Ltd.’s ride quality you’d like to improve?

The limited already has a pretty good ride quality, but honestly it's more the look that makes me want to get spacers. However, ride quality is most important to me.

I'm a nut job. I'd like to fully insulate the cabin to reduce road noise and would have done so already if I didn't have a GX 550 in the back of my mind.

@2016 4Runner SR5 - what about this? Have you put spacers on a Limited, and if so, any feedback?

Understood. That’s why I was asking. We think the on-road ride quality in the LTD is great - it’s my wife’s daily driver.

If it’s just the look you’re after for adding the Cornfeds, you’ll be real happy. You won’t notice any difference in ride. Not sure where you’re located but they’re near Branson and will do the install for you at their shop for way less than anywhere else. Great guys over there. Note: you’ll have to have the post-install alignment done somewhere else, they don’t have an alignment machine.

Spacers are exactly that. SPACERS. They give more space between whatever two objects you're trying to separate.
-They WILL NOT improve ride quality.
-They WILL NOT reduce roll, nosedive or improve the handling characteristics.
-They WILL get rid of the front to rear rake that 4Runners are engineered to have. In other words, level it out from front to rear. *MAKE SURE you adjust your headlights properly if you do this!!*

I removed the XREAS suspension system from my 2011 Limited. It was leaking at all four corners, and replacement at the time was somewhere around $3K. That was a hard no. I ended up installing an Old Man Emu suspension adding approximately 2" of lift. I also got rid of the 20" wheels and went with 18". It did improve handling, it did reduce roll, it did correct nose dive on braking. I still have a slight amount of nose down rake. Overall very happy.4FED6BF4-A257-4373-9FD3-CDE1D73170E4.jpg

I do not have confed spacers on my Limited since I swapped the suspension.

However for the TRD I was able to drop the 1/2in spacer into of the coil over. Since it does not have any additional nuts, its been just the drop in spacer it should be good for XREAS. I did notice even 1/2in spacer tighten the suspension a little bit which would impact nose dive and body roll. Since It already got tighter suspension where it doesn't have much noticeable nose dive and body roll to start with compared to Tokico shocks cannot see a big difference. Only on the day of install I felt it then my brain adjusted to it and forget how it was before.

I do remember when I got the 3in spacer on my SR5 stock suspension impacting the nose dive and body roll.

Spacers on a limited are no problem at all. Picture below is a 3/2 on a Limited with XTRAS. Shoot me a text or call 631-202-8245
