    I just purchased my first 4 runner ..2016 SRS premium....94,500 miles only had it for almost 2 weeks......luv it already
    ...any tips ? By the way i am new !

    Tips, well the only tip I have is to buy a gen 5 4Runner before the gen 6 is released, but now that you got one that’s a moot point. Welcome to the forum from San Diego!

    I’d change all the fluids, make sure the driveshaft is greased and engage 4WD every once in a while to exercise it (but of course not drive and steer on dry pavement)

    Welcome. What @icebear said is good advice. Don’t forget to check the serpentine belt, spark plugs, and air/cabin filters. You’re approaching the 100k service, so might as well get them done.

    Just putting it here so folks can see, maybe someone in a decade will be helped by your question.

    In daily driving, you will almost always be in H2 (2WD). H4 (4WD) is for loose surfaces like dirt, sand, gravel, snow/ice.

    You won’t be using it often, but it’s good to exercise the mechanism so it doesn’t get stuck so I like to hit a dirt road every so often and use 4WD or at least on a straight section of road. It’s a commonly covered topic here so if that doesn’t make sense, someone else may have a better explanation.
