    I might try that.

I usually pull steaks out of the fridge at least an hour before cooking them. And, I always let them rest. Only an animal cuts into a hot steak. ;)

What better for a cold winters night but a bowl of Chicken Chili made with fire roasted tomatoes and Garlic, minced sun-dried tomatoes and green onion.

Crock pot chili topped with a little shredded cheese and diced green onion (and for the record, real chili has NO beans) served with some jalapeno cornbread:

I'll say F@CK Little Caesars. I ordered lunch off the app, went to pick it up and they were closed. Took me 3 days of waiting on hold to talk to corporate. They assured me that a regional manager would be calling. Never did. I bad mouthed them on FB. Someone contacted me and told me a regional manager would be calling. I said F You and your regional manager. Never again. I'll never think twice about ordering a $30 Round Table pizza. Now that's a proper pizza-

Oh, I'm sure it is. But I can't imagine it having more taste than a grilled and salted burger. And in my case, I would only do it just to say I did.

If you tried it, you might want more. ;)

You use good bread, good beef, sweet onion, and a little salt and pepper. Or, I've seen people use seasoned salt. Something about those ingredients in the right proportion is very tasty!

It took my ex forever to convince me to try sushi. But, I love that stuff! Well, some of it.

The raw beef isn't for everyone. There are things that I don't care for, also.

I understand. I have a very broad palate and like all kinds of stuff that a lot of people make faces at. The world is full of wonderful food and flavors from all over. The hurdle I have is cooked vs raw (well, and some organs). Not much else.

I tend to be a little picky about new things. There's still things I want to try that I haven't. And, some things I am okay with never trying. :D

I think we're all there. Things I don't care to try: Chitlins (chitterlings lol), mussels/oysters, brains, kidneys, sweetbreads, most organ meats, most insects, slugs. Other things I'm not thinking of at the moment. That list doesn't contain any plants...

I missed this earlier. Looks good on the outside. How did it turn out?

I've never made beef wellington, but a restaurant I used to live near made it very well. It's definitely a special treat when it turns out good!

I had it in Vegas and it was like a pop-over where they sliced the beef and then cooked in a pastry. And it was expensive. Paris Eiffel Tower Las Vegas. But that looks like the Shiz-Mat Beef Wellington. So please, shot of the inside. Gravy perhaps?

Sorry guys, I forgot to take a pic of the sliced results, family dinner it was devoured in a heartbeat. It was perfect though, I seared the tenderloin more than usual, basted with butter before doing the tootsie-roll thing. it was awesome! I promise I'll take a pic of the inside the next time I make em!

The last year before meeting my wife, I set a goal to buy no red meat. Straight field to table. I got lucky on some pheasant and turkey hunts, and only bought some chicken in like 30 weeks. Ducks, geese, 2 deer. It was an awesome feeling.

Now my wife will eat anything deer, the kids will eat it ground, but its just me eating anything feathered. I cant even sneak squirrel "wings" by them.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
    1) There's a restaurant in Yuma that used to (still may for all I know) make Beef Wellington, with a 24 hour notice. I called them a week before my 21st birthday while I was stationed there. I wanted to be sure I got a table, and the BW. It was called The Pumphouse. Used to be the building where water was pumped from the valley where the Colorado runs up onto a mesa for crop irrigation. Supposedly haunted b y the ghost of the headman's daughter, who either fell, or threw herself, into the intake pipe. Kinda neat history. Anywho, I brought a few friends and girls, and that was one of THE best birthday meals I'd ever had! Minus my 16th birthday at a place that once was in Palo Alto called the Velvet Turtle. My parents go to restaurant for a classy, but absolutely delicious, meal.

    2) I actually stopped at Harris Ranch a number of times. Their steak is phenominal! I literally never touched a knife when I ate there. Their meat cut with a fork. DEEELICIOUS!! One thing that clued me in to it: They have a airstrip there. The California Highway patrol plane stops there for lunch! Dead give away as to just how good they are.

    Good eating, all!

I only ate one time at the VT, about a year before Botello sold the place (and moved south to the desert) to celebrate my first year as an engineer. And yes, the The Ranch is a must stop (and a good gas stop along I-5), I always pack a few pounds (not just cuts in the cooler but my belly as well! :D). Small plane pilots know the best places to eat when flying either for fun or cross-country! A family friend was a commercial pilot and would sometimes take me up for a flight in his 172-A for some fun 'stick time'. We flew out to the Ranch a couple times as well as a number of smaller 'munis'...the food at these small airports were bomb!

A homemade egg-cheese-bacon on a lightly toasted bagel.

Einstein's had a special on "Everything" bagels & Kroger had a special on thick cut bacon, so I decided to make a homemade omelet sandwich.
