These are the stock OEM Toyota rock rails. They are not as beefy as a true rock slider, but they are plenty strong enough for most off road activities. They are in almost new condition. Dallas pickup only. $350

Will they fit an SR5? I’d assume yes because everything else OEM does

Do these hold up well to the occasional tree stump, buried boulder on a fire road type stuff?

I would say yes. These are not flimsy like the Predator steps.

I'm considering these, since I'm not doing serious rock crawling. Do they extend out enough to use as a steo for loading the roof? They seem to be fairly flush with the rocker panel.

They don't extend far enough to use as a reliable step.

Im having a hard time evaluating these OEM rock rails. Part of the mental block here is considering whether the rock rails I get should also or not help to protect the underside of the sill from rocks and other debris and if that type of additional protection is worth what is a 100% mark-up in price between the OEM rails ($400 or less) and the after-market rails/sliders with top plates (over $800 with shipping included).

I cant imagine that the OEM rails provide any protection from debris being flung up from the tires...is that correct?

I can't speak from practical experience, only ownership experience. Mine came with OEM rock rails and they do not appear to offer the same protection that other (wider) aftermarket options do. They do not offer any "step" option (since they don't extend out very far). I'm on the taller side, so not a big deal for me to step right in.

I originally wanted predator steps/rails, but had to settle for OEM rock rails due to limited 4R inventory. If I were big on crawling the rocks, I would go with something different (aftermarket).

If you want full protection then you have to go aftermarket. I've had both and there is a huge difference. Most people won't need more than OEM.

Thanks...I get the full protection of the armor, i.e., hitting/landing on rocks. Im wondering if the protection from flying debris from the front tires is a plus in the column for aftermarket sliders and worth the near-100% premium. That's what Im struggling with evaluating.

Does anyone know if there are removable side steps that can go with these oem rock sliders? I was hoping to have these on during my mallcrawls and remove them during offroading.
