swap out compatible transfer case 03' V8

I was reading a post about leaking transfer case. My 2003 V8 4Runner Limited Sport actuator in transfer case has been leaking for some time(a year) now and I was thinking about just getting another one, used Not leaking). to change out. I know mine is full-time 4wheel. would you know what cases are comparable as direct replacement, ie....years, models, engine size....? I saw the youtube video about the seals that leak and how they replaced them. my local mechanic wanted $2K to replace seals. Same with transmission shop. 115000mi. only 2nd owner.

 

Get a Brand New Actuator it will have updated design. Drop transfer case and have it replaced properly. Don't mess with a used one as it will leak at some point and Money wasted. Thats what I did

 

It’s confusing, looked on eBay at new. Cost range from $500+to $250. I know V6 isn’t same as V8 actuator is it?
