Currently running an Ikamper 2.0 on a full rack non drill Prinsu.

Had it on barely a month and took it off due to insane squeaking while daily driving!

Anyone recommend any tent risers or should I swap out the Prinsu mounting feet with Sherpa (has rubber) mounting feet?

That’s happens with Prinsu racks. That piece of crap is slightly concave so the tent isn’t supported over the length of the rack and because it’s flimsy, it flexes like crazy and makes a bunch of noise vibrating and squealing against the rails of the tent. You’d easiest solution is to buy another set of tent mounts from iKamper and have 8 mounting points to sure it up.

Makes sense. Do you recommend any tent mounts?

Contemplated these and throwing a piece of rubber in between.... but overtime, they would just get smashed and back to squeaky life

an option I came across, but end game would be the same as above haha

I would just get more iKamper mounts instead of raising it.

How would one tighten the mounts in the middle of the rack?

I think this is likely an issue with any non-drill full length rack. The front of the racks just really lack lateral stability/bracing. Mounting something heavy there will just result in the vibration and noise. Ideally you're only mounting lightweight items at the front (recovery boards, lightbar, cell booster, etc).

I have a sherpa crestone with an ikamper mini 3.0. Tried mounting my tent at the front of the rack and it squeaked incessantly. Shifted it back toward the center and all is better. The key here is that your front mounts on the tent must be mounted to a crossbar that is close to the middle mounting brackets on the rack (that are actually screwed to the body, these are the front mounts on the factory rails). Those middle brackets are not going to move around like the front ones. In my experience you can mount the front tent mounts to a crossbar that is roughly 6" forward of the mounting foot. Beyond that you may start experience the noise and vibration again. For the ikamper (full size) not sure how that jives with their spacing our mounting requirements. Worth taking some measurements and trying it out.
