40th Anniversary bronze wheel

I've had 4 on order for a month or so. So far they have delivered 3 of the 4. The last I heard they were supposed to have 200+ for the backorders at the end of last month. My dealer has not responded to my last 3 emails asking about the last one status.

You can get the center caps from the black TRD pro’s. It’s the same fitment.

 

I think I saw that they fit, but those caps have a red ring around them, black background, and red "TRD" don't they? or maybe I haven't seen the one you're talking about. Do you happen to have a part number?

 

I'm also trying to figure out if this one fits...I think it is for the last year of the Land Cruiser: PT280-60200-05
It is looking like I can get them through a local dealer and not for a crazy markup, could be worth taking a chance and then just asking if I can return them...$20 each

 

Yes, does are the ones I’m talking about. I have seen them before on the bronze wheels and they don’t look bad at all, imho.

 

You should check the size of the center caps for both the 4R and LC beforehand to make sure they fit, most dealerships won’t accept returns. However, the dealership should also know the sizes for both of them as well. They look like they would fit though.

 

I found this: PT280-60200-05 is the cap for wheels PT960-60200-05 (Land Cruiser I think).

Then this website shows that cap at 3-1/8" (PT280-60200-05)

But I have not been able to find dimensions on PT280-35221-5F. But dang does it look exactly like the LC cap...just a different part number. Still searching.

Still searching the threads for more info on the bronze overlays, I ended up with the black overlays as an option (didn't want it, but it was that or keep waiting for a Lunar Rock to show up without them) And I assume maybe some light heat (hair dryer not heat gun) and they can be pealed off the chrome emblem w/o ripping off the emblem as a whole?

Since I ordered the bronze wheels, I thought bronze emblems could look pretty nice. My other thought was to keep the black (it's not bad) and do a paint match to lunar rock of the 'TOYOTA' on the front grill kit I ordered, couple places sell spray paint that matches the color code and thought body color on the toyota letters might be nice.

The bronze overlay kit is a bit spendy for what it is, especially since I won't need to toyota emblem, and it doesn't come with overlays for the c-pillar badges...hmm, ok...maybe typing this all out is what I needed to talk myself out of it.

 

These wheels are flow formed like the pro wheels correct? Toyota site just says bronze colored wheels for the 40th anniversary trim but flow formed wheels for the pro. Just curious if these are truly the pro wheels just painted bronze.

I ordered a set Sunday and recieved them today. Not sure if there is just stock available for the bronze wheels and not the black wheels. But seemed pretty easy to get this style wheel. Not sure why the black version of this wheel is not coming on the pro.

Last 2 digits only specifies the color
F2 is black

 

Ordered these wheels and center caps earlier this week. Hoping the center caps fit properly

 

I couldn't find just the wheels, so I decided to buy the 40th Anniversary model that COMES with the bronze wheels:

 

Seems 100% reasonable to me!!! And bronze wheels on a Red Runner.... pure sex!
