Nice shot, Pirate!

 

I understand. We like to go to wildlife preserves by Lake Erie. There is a number of places to set up and birdwatch, or you’ll see cranes or pelicans or eagles, etc. So I started leaving my P900 mounted on the tripod and laying it on the back seat with the tripod legs 3/4 extended. Makes it a little quicker to set up. If you’re out hiking, that’s different. That’s when you prop against a tree or something.

 

For hiking I use my phone, cameras kinda bulky, and not water proof, and a flexible JOBY tripod, can wrapit around branches, or over rocks, unlevel terrain etc....I'm in Southern IL, unfortunately, wish I had some place like that that has a better " out door lifestyle ", and wildlife, but its what it is atleast I've still got the shawnee national forest here.. not the worst.. but eh there's better lol

Since we had talked about it recently, thought this was funny... Grabbed a couple of these flat lights to toss under the seats while I was installing the seat covers. We have three. All three looked like this. Duracell batteries in Duracell lights. One of them actually worked.

A couple years ago I took some pics of a butterfly on a humid morning. Didn't realize that my lens had fogged until I was done. Got several pics like this.


I was able to fix it a little in Windows. Then got photo editing software for Christmas (ACDSee Professional). I was able to recover the photo enough to at least represent what I actually saw. Pretty happy with it. FYI, I'm a photo-editing novice.

 

That's looks way better. Very cool.

 

forgot all about my Olympus Tough TG-6, still might not have the zoom, ... but I'll be heading out to Shawnee National Forest in 7 days, may take it out and get some under water shots lol... surely the creeks are running by now

 

Interesting. Never heard of that one. Post some shots when you get them.

 

Will do , I originally bought this one as my hiking camera, but ended up never taking it, and just used my phone... now my phone is shattered pretty good, lot of falls, drops, accidental rock hits lol....it was just a lil more convenient.... but this is why I originally bought it.
