Grill/brush guards for 5th gen

I searched the forums and couldn’t find any threads on this. I live up north in the woods where all animals run to headlights and would like to protect the front of my orp. Most grill/ brush guards online look like the will block the front sensors. Any ideas, please.

 

most of those bolt om brush guard etc will not protect you from hitting an animal as they are usually just thin steel pipes bolted to tow hooks etc. and will not withstand an impact like that. it is just for looks really. If you want it so you can take a hit from a deer you would need a full steel bumper. If not, really no point putting anything there.

 

I was interested in putting on a bull bar for parking purposes but I’ve read a few posts about folks who had brush or bull guards that hit animals with the claims it made the damages worse and tweaked their frame. I guess no 2 hits are alike so it’s difficult to determine if that’s true but I dropped the idea after reading more negative comments than positive. Just a thought.
