RRW Rims on 24 TRD Pro lets see those offsets

I'm coming from a 21 TRD Pro Tacoma RRW 7 -12 offset. Let's see them on the 4runner with stock tires and suspension. Not sure on the 4runner whether to go with the -12 or -25? Looking for a .5"-1" poke.

 

I'm in the same boat. Looking for info on RRW 17x8.5 -25 wheels. I'm debating getting the -12 version or the -25.

 

So I pulled the trigger yesterday. RR6-H 17x8.5 -12. There are plenty of forum posts on this exact topic. My two cents is if you're wanted really aggressive poke, go with the -25. The -12 looks to provide a little poke but not overly aggressive.

 

Do you have a Pro ? If so looking forward to pictures of the -12

 

I have a TRD Off Road Premium with an OME 3" lift. I used WillTheyFit.com to compare and contrast tire sizes I've seen on the Web.
Looks like the 17x8.5 -12 with 285/70/17 should offer very minimal poke. Did hours and hours of research before deciding the -25 was a little too much for me personally.

Here's a couple pictures for OP. This is a TRD Pro with 17x8.5 -12 wrapped in 285/70/17 tires. Looks fairly flush. Not too much poke.
The -25 version would be 13mm (1/2") more poke.

If I could redo...I'd go -25. Other then that i love them, they held up great after 4 years.

 

Yea -12 look more aggressive on the Tacoma than the 4 runner might have to go -25

 

I originally bought mine for my 2016 tacoma. Then when I sold that I transferred them over to the 4runner. I think they sit perfectly flush on the 4runner. But id like a little more. 17x8.5 -25 or 17x9 -38 would be awesome.

Nice, ya I agree; do the -25. Thanks Hossler, def looks like you get more poke on a Tacoma with the same tire.
When I was running 0 offset, 9" wide 285/70 wheels, the poke was virtually flush. I was anticipating more poke, wasn't happy with that. At -32 offset I'm content.

Regarding rubbing.
I think TRD Pro 4Rs come with approx 1.5" lift in the front (conflicting Google information on the rear lift).
Which can help a little.

Finally got the wheels put on. Super happy with the fitment. The wheel itself is flush with the fender but the tires are able to poke about 1/2" -1" outside the fender. (285/70/17 Nitto RG's)

This fitment is ideal imo.
Visible tire poke but not excessive.
Simple BMC and fender liner mod means I don't rub even under compression.
Not worried about slingling rocks and mud on the body work.

If you like a lot of tire poke go with the -25. You'll get another half inch of poke. For my rig, I'm very happy with the 17x8.5 -12.

I'm excited to see what OP will do with his. The Pro suspension is already very good. I bet a set of RRWs w/ 33s will look great on it. And selling the Pro wheels should help recoup some cost.
