    Ran across an excellent accessory for my Viair 88P or any other compressor where the hose screws on to the tire valve. This self-locking, quick release extension, available for $8 on Amazon, is way faster to attach/detach and also features a deflation button.

    Also, my 88P didn't come with a case and many reviews that mentioned the Viair case complained about how tight it was to get the compressor, power cord, and air hose back in once it was out. I noticed this Ozark Trail 360 tackle bag for ~$21 at Walmart and it's perfect. The 88P and my Jaco deflator fit in the main section, a small toolkit in the front pocket, and there's plenty of room left. Bonus: inside it are 4 plastic compartmentalized storage boxes meant for lures and such but ideal for small parts, screws, washers, etc.

    Great idea!

    I replaced the entire hose on mine, but I used a similar piece for clipping onto the valves.

    One thing to keep in mind is to not run the compressor while it's not attached to a tire as those types of valve attachments don't allow air to flow through when they're disconnected. This could cause damage to the compressor or the hose.

    What did you replace your hose with? And did you remove the entire old hose or splice to it? I'm planning on getting an 88p and would like to change the hose to something that'll flex in the cold.

    The drawback is the compressor is now throttled by two shrader valves instead of one. For less restriction, remove the existing threaded air chuck and install a barbed one like this:
    $6 Toolwiz 2pcs Lock Inflate Locking Air Chuck with Clip, 1/4" Brass Portable Lock on Tire Inflator Chuck Hose Adapter Tire Chucks Air Compressor Hose End with Barb Connector for Hose Repair
    https://www.amazon.com/Toolwiz-Inflator-Straight-Compressor-Connector/dp/B07YWWHCHN/ It secures to the hose with a worm clamp. The valve is normally open, so you can run the compressor without the hose attached to a tire.

    Of course, it's only worth doing to compressors that you frequently use to air up tires at the trail exit. Otherwise the threaded chuck is good enough.
