IMG_4317.jpg I did the same search as you about a year ago and there weren’t too many options in 245/60/20. I found a set of ORP oem 4Runner wheels on FB Marketplace for $350 and a matching spare on eBay for $50. These 17” wheels are 7.5” wide vs the 7” for the oem 20”. I’m not sure if this is something you would be interested in but the way I figured it this route only cost me a couple hundred bucks more than replacing 4x20” tires and your options for an AT in 17” are vast vs the 20” wheels. If you want to keep the 20” wheels Toyo open country AT3 makes an AT in the oem size but they are pricey at about $300 each.

I have a '23 Limited, replaced the OEM 245/60s with 275/55s. Go to "simpletire.com", put in that size, and there are lots of 20" AT tires to choose from...

275 is wider than a 7” rim will accommodate safely and according to safety and tire standards a 275 should be mounted on a rim with a minimum width of 7.5” and a max of 9.5”.some tire shops won’t even do it for you due to the liability exposure. While I know many do it without issue and they look great I wouldn’t want my wife driving it. Well maybe depending on the day.

If I were to go A/T I'd start with the BFG Trail-Terrain - however it is more of a mild/light-terrain tire that's a relatively new crossover-oriented segment rather than a bona fide A/T. If you don't plan to off-road often or in moderate or tougher conditions. (alongside the Wildpeak A/T Trail)

Having done this recently I ended up getting 17" rims because the tire selection wasn't good.

There's a new Falken Wildpeak Trail that is available in the 4Runner's 20" size. I haven't seen any Limited 4Runners with them yet, but the tire has a good rep otherwise.

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
My wife and I decided on a set of Toyo AT3's for our 99, and so far, I love em. They grab the snow for a treat, and even in heavy rain, I've driven through fairly deep puddles without hydroplaning. Yes, I slow down for snow/ice, and deep water, but I've never slid or hydroplaned.

    I'm sold!

Assuming you want to stick with the Limited's 20x7 OEM wheels, here is a list of 275/55 ATs from Simpletire, from low price to high, there's over 100 listed. The OEM 245/60s just look too skinny on the Limited, so I'd definitely go with a bigger tire. 'Course if you want to change wheel sizes, that's an entirely different story. But there are plenty of 20" tires to choose from, so don't fall for that argument...
