Can’t help but notice it’s a Gen 4, probably has a Gen 5 coming out of the hole right behind it!

That's 3rd Gen, but as you said there's probably a 4th Gen and a 5th Gen in that hole somewhere!!

I am selling my gen 1 taco this weekend. 20 years old and I would drive it anywhere. Wife insists we have too many vehicles. Crazy how Toyotas will run forever if taken care of. Being in the south no rust is a big win.

Don’t sell it, you’ll regret it. I had a Gen 1, sold it in 18’ and recently had to pay twice to get another Gen 1 for my boy.

I have been keeping it for years for this reason. Kids took it to college and gave it back. Wife just bought a IS 500 and said taco needs to go we don't need 3 cars for 2 people that work from home. Sucks but I lost that battle. First world problems. It's crazy the prices old Toyota trucks hold their value.

You will get stupid money out of it despite the condition. I had a 97’ and we just bought a 2004. Body was beat up but the engine runs like a sewing machine and everything still works including the rear locker. Love the 1st gen Tacoma. Also the frame was clean.

Those g1 iron blocks run forever. One guy looking at it had recently wrecked his g1 with 500k on it wanting to replace it. Tried to tell my wife it's a collectors vehicle now with the Toyota cult following.

4wd with e-locker are getting hard to find and in high demand.
